Orange Matryoshka

I've been trying to take some decent photos of the things that I want to sell online. I've sorted through the plushies that I made during the holidays, and this tiny orange one tumbled out of the box.
I'm not a big fan of orange, but it looks quite nice on this little doll ^.^

Tea time :)

Mom made peach cheesecake last night which is absolutely delish!
I have a rather sweet tooth, in case you haven't noticed yet ;).

I've also finally got a new cup to replace my very very old one (I have been using it for about 14 years now). It is not exactly "new" as it was a birthday gift from last year. It features Wellington bear (by Hallmark).

I hope your day is going sweetly too! :)

Beary Loveable

Hey there! :)
Just a small crafty update from me today (shocking, I know ;) ).
This bear was made a couple of weeks back, when I had some time during the inter-semester break. Currently, I'm working on some brooches that are taking ages to finish, mainly because I'm improving on the prototypes.
I have also been trying to take some decent photos of my Chubbees and other small plushies I'm trying to sell. For the time being, I have decided to sell them on Trade Me (New Zealand's version of eBay for the time being) :). Let's hope this works! ;)

Have a happy week! :)

Cute! :D

Bookworm baby

I found a new blog! The blogger is a mom who imagines what her sleeping baby may be dreaming of during her nap time. She then constructs a scene around her sleeping baby.
How adorable!
Check it out here.

A few posts back, I expressed my hopes to attempt to sell my handmade goods online. I had everything all mapped out in my mind - account details, packaging and what-nots have all been sorted out and secured.
And a week ago, I went to the post office to sort out the last item on my list - to check for the cost of postage. I nearly had a heart attack when the cashier gave me a quote on the postage. It costs USD 5.70 to send ONE of my Chubbes to the UK and US.
I kid you not. That postage for that tiny thing is so darn expensive. Maybe I'm slightly ignorant in saying this, but I do think that the cost is really too much!

This makes me think that it would not be wise open a store on Etsy. I am not looking to have an idle store.

Whether or not I should proceed really depends on how much a potential customer is willing to spend on my goods. If you can help me out in this respect, it would be great! :)
I would like to find out the following:
What is the maximum amount (inclusive of postage) you are willing to spend on one of my Chubbees?
If you can help me out, that would be great! I would be really grateful! :)

Note: A Chubbee is about 70 mm in height.
Thank you soooo much in advance! :)
